Native Plants Gardening, Free at Campbell Library

From Gray to Green: Native Plants in Parking Strips and Side
Yards, a talk by Carrie Jensen.

Break up your concrete. Rip out your lawn. Replace those
thirsty plants. Learn how to turn your parking strip or side garden into a
haven for drought-tolerant native plants that provide color and texture
year-round. Leave with great ideas for appropriate plants, whether you have
full sun exposure or the dappled shade of a street tree.

Carrie Jensen specializes in habitat restoration as a
landscape designer with H. T. Harvey & Associates. She has focused on
native plants for much of her career. She is a member of the Santa Clara Basin
Watershed Management Initiative and is currently partnering with Our City
Forests on a “Green Streets Program”.
