Campbell Union School District is the elementary and middle school district in Campbell and one of three districts…More that serve the children of the community. It was established in 1921 and includes nine elementaries, three middle schools and one commuinty day school. The district serves not only Campbell but also the Los Gatos, San Jose, Monte Sereno and Santa Clara communities.
There are 7,300 students and 722 employees in the district. In 2009, the district saw a rise in its API score of 25 points, bringing its districtwide score up to 831. The state of California rates its schools on a 200 to 1,000 point system, with 800 the current benchmark.
Campbell Union High School District was organized on August 13, 1900 and is home to the city's five high school…More campuses. All five of the schools are California Distinguished Schools and Campbell's very own Westmont High School is also a National Blue Ribbon School.
The district's newest and sixth campus, Camden Community Day School focuses on at-risk youth.
There are 7,700 students that attend the district from communities including Campbell, San Jose and Los Gatos.
