Lizarran Tapas Restaurant closed its doors on Dec. 31 of 2011.

 

The restaurant was located in the original City Hall building in Gilroy, a building registered as a national landmark. Patrons enjoyed the ambiance of the historical building, such as the original "Jail" sign pointing to Lizarran's restrooms. The restaurant was very large and open, always playing traditional Spanish music. The customer service was outstanding and memorable, meeting the standards of a fine dining environment. One of the most popular dishes at the restaurant was the Paella Mixta, an assorted seafood entree.
