Reader's Photos: West Valley College Makes 300 Sandwiches for Homeless

Thanks to Patch reader Scott Ludwig for sending these pictures of WVC students helping feed the homeless at St. Joseph's Cathedral in San Jose.

West Valley College students from its Alpha Gamma Sigma, Honor's Society and Student Activities office made 300 sandwiches to feed the homeless clients of St. Joseph's Cathedral in San Jose on Nov. 22.

Danny Hsu, with the Student Activities organization, said the sandwiches were made on campus and then transported to the downtown Catholic church to help feed the less fortunate who receive meals at the sanctuary.

West Valley College in Saratoga and Mission College in Santa Clara enroll more than 26,000 students annually. The district serves residents of Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, Sunnyvale and Santa Clara and is governed by the seven-member board.
