Illegal July 4th Fireworks Keep Residents, Pets Awake in Campbell

The Campbell Patch Facebook page has been buzzing with concerned neighbors, culminating on July 4.

The United States of America celebrated its 236th birthday Wednesday with but some revelers have been partying it up for much longer.

On the Campbell Patch Facebook page, residents have been talking about the loud booms for weeks now and July 4th was no different.

"...Very unnerving to me and my kitties. Loudest booms ever!" said one Facebook reader.

"Been running around trying to keep dogs from freaking out. Sounds like a war zone out there! Pets do not handle this well!" said another.

"4 fire trucks just showed up about 100 yards from my place, bascom and shamrock," said one resident and another echoed his comment: "Ditto, lots o fun around bascom and shamrock."
