Campbell Kicks Off Summer Music Series Thursday

The Houserockers are the first act in Campbell's nine-week summer music series.

On Thursday, Campbell will kick off its outdoor summer music series. Held every Thursday night from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., the series features a variety of talent from the South Bay and beyond.

So bring out your lawn chairs and beach towels to the , adjacent to City Hall, where all the concerts will take place. Below is the lineup from the June 21 Summer Solstice opening act through the grand finale on August 23.

June 21: Houserockers: Recently named “Best Cover Band of the Bay Area,” the Los Gatos rock and soul band revives classics from The Rolling Stones, Earth, Wind and Fire, and Tower of Power.

June 28: Nigel & Clive & British Invasion Brought to fame by an appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in the 1960s, this band is still rockin’ gigs around the Bay Area.

July 5: Long Train Runnin’: Fan of the Doobie Brothers? This cover band plays all their big hits.

July 12: California Cowboys: Yee-haw! This band plays lively country western tunes.

July  19: The Shanks: This local band plays classic rock and roll.

July 26: Groove Kings: The Bay Area cover band jams to songs from Aretha Franklin to The Beatles.

August 2: Cocktail  Monkeys: One of the finalists in the KFOX 98.5 Last Band Standing competition, this lively band specializes in rock, motown, party, and dance.

August 9: The Hitmen: This local band fuses 70’s Funk, disco, latin and dance together.

August 16: Crocodiles: This harmonic group specializes in 70’s, 80’s and contemporary sounds.

August 23: SAGE: A local R & B Dance Band.
