Root, Root, Root for the Home Team

Campbell Little League has a history and its teams have made it to the Little League World Series.

There's just something about a hometown little league.

According to Chuck Hildebrand, author of The Last Baseball Town, Campbell's league dates back to 1954 when its games were played at the old Campbell Grammar School. A year later it moved to and in 1963, the current complex was built.

The league has flirted with the grandest title, Little League World Series three times: 1970, 1976 and 1979.
