Rosemary School Gets Boost from Local Neighborhood Association

Rosemary School will be able to purchase teaching tool because of neighborhood's assistance.

The Winchester Neighborhood Action Coalition presented 's Principal Edna Laskin and members of the school's student council with a check Dec. 9.

The neighborhood group, with boundaries from San Tomas Expressway and Highway 880/17 west to east and Moorpark to Hamilton avenues north to south includes residents, gave the school a check for $675 to go towards the purchase of a Second STEP instructional kit.

“Rosemary students learn more than the ‘3 Rs,’ Laskin said in a release. “They also learn the ‘3 Bs’—Be respectful; Be responsible; Be caring. The Second STEP kit will help us reinforce those good behaviors to our younger students so their academic behavior improves as their social behavior improves.”
