Campbell Patch: Why do you like to write?

Shayan Golshan: I like to write because it is fun. Sometimes, during my spare time, I write mini stories about what I did during summer, or just write a spooky story.

I like to create my own characters and scenes. I like to write my own script and be creative.

Patch: What do you like to write about?

Shayan: I like to write about a narrative story like when I went to Great America with my friends and we went on the High Flyer, the scariest ride I ever been on and had loads of fun.

We strapped on safety cords to the bungee cords and the gear cranked us up and when we got to the highest point, then we dropped! It was the scariest thing that ever happened in my life. My friend, unfortunately, vomited all over the place. YUK!!!!

Patch: What is your favorite book?

Shayan: I am not sure but I read a variety of books. My two favorite series books have to be Harry Potter and the I am Number Four series.

Patch: Do you have a favorite character? What do you like about them?

Shayan: Harry Potter is my favorite because he has a lot of friends, he is famous and he is a wizard, which I find it cool!

Patch: Do you have a favorite author? What do you like about them?

Shayan: J.K.Rowling is my favorite author. She makes the story very descriptive and catches my attention as if I am a part of  it.

Patch: What is your book about?

Shayan: My book is about Robots and how I built, programmed, and make it work. It can talk, move, and "dance".

Patch: Why is writing important to you?

Shayan: It is important because I can express myself into words.  It is one of my hobbies and it keeps me busy.
