At least that's how the saying goes.
The PTA will have a flea market Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"This is the first 'flea market' type event that we’ve had since my kids have been at CMS," says Elaina Vaughn, parent and PTA member at Campbell Middle.
The event will take place in the parking lot of the school, and the cost of a space at the event is $10. Spaces are available until noon Friday. The money earned from each space, along with $1 from every lunch sold will go to the PTA.
The school band will also be a the event, selling bottled water.
"We hope this is a good revenue stream for our PTA group," Vaughn says. "The funds we raise allow the PTA to 'give back' to the school."
The PTA provides T-shirts for the sub-mile runners, has purchased the school agendas for each student, reimburses teachers for school supplies and provides scholarships for science camp.
"We have been very fortunate to have a wonderful PTA president, ," Vaughn says. "She’s an amazing leader and Campbell parent!"
