Moreland Middle School is One of Three 'Distinguished' Schools

Campbell's Moreland Middle School made the cut in this year's California Distinguished Schools honors.

was one of three schools within the Santa Clara County named California Distinguished Schools this year.

The announcement came on June 9 at a ceremony at the Santa Clara Office of Education. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson.

Campbell's Moreland Middle was one of 97 middle and high schools selected throughout the state for this honor.

In order to qualify, a school must demonstrate education excellence for all students and progress in narrowing the .

All three schools also received the ceremony by Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Weis in April.

Along with Moreland Middle, Chaboya Middle School in the Evergreen School District and Dartmouth Middle School in the Union Elementary School District were also named California Distinguished Schools.
