There's more than just pumpkins at Moreland Education Foundation's fundraiser this weekend.

Halloween is just around the corner, and the Moreland Education Foundation is setting the stage with its Community Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Trail beginning this Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16, 2011.

On Saturday from 4-7 pm, you and the kids can enjoy carnival style games. And what’s Halloween without a good scare? For your dose of frightful sights, take a walk along the Haunted Trail. Then it’s back to fun and games with Halloween crafts and, of course, choosing your favorite pumpkin from the patch.

When it’s time for dinner, choose between MoGo Korean BBQ and Bill’s Hot Dog Cart, both serving from 4-9 pm.

At 7 pm, Movie Night gets started with the kids Halloween classic, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Next up is “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” During the show, munch on popcorn and cotton candy.

On Sunday, the Pumpkin Patch will be open from noon to 4 pm. Take home lasting memories of this fun event by having a professional photo taken for free in front of a colorful fall backdrop. Take a walk on the scary side along the Haunted Trail, and satisfy your Halloween sweet tooth with a treat from the Bake Sale.

Other events at the Pumpkin Patch will take place from October 21 through October 30. The Pumpkin Patch will be closed on Halloween. For more information, visit the Foundation’s website.

The Foundation is looking for volunteers, and a schedule of available times and a signup sheet can be found here.

All proceeds from the events benefit the Moreland schools.
