Web Series Worth Checking Out

Psychological drama makes compelling Internet television.

I was iChatting with my daughter this morning and she told me about a web series she'd been watching on Hulu.com called The Booth at the End.

A mysterious man sits in the last booth in a coffee shop every day and waits for people to approach him with a password. He invites them to sit at his booth and they proceed to tell him what they want. Sometimes it's something for themselves, sometimes it's something for someone they love. The man then offers them a deal. They must complete a task that he gives them. In addition, they must come back to his booth and report on their progress. When their task is complete, they get what they want. The tasks are always difficult, sometimes the tasks hurt other people, sometimes they help other people, and sometimes two people have tasks that directly oppose each other. Meaning only one of those people will be able to complete his or her task. It all takes place in the coffee shop as people come back to report the progress of their tasks. It's absolutely fascinating. New episodes come out on Mondays. It's worth a look.
