In Which I Date Myself

I follow Ruth Buzzi on Twitter. Yes, she's still alive and not only that, she's still funny.  She wished Scott Baio a happy 51st birthday this morning. I almost did a spit take with my coffee. How could Scott Baio be 51?  He was not that much older than me when he was a teen idol back in the day! Then I remembered how old I am today. The one thought that, strangely, made me feel better was that someday, Justin Beiber will be 51. Take heed, Beebs. It's fleeting.

So, because it was my birthday, Mr. Richards took me out to dinner to Tegelleria Ristorante at the edge of Downtown Campbell. Our waiter was a tall, swarthy, young Italian man with the thickest, most wonderful Italian accent. He talked me into getting the kale salad and I don't even like kale! (It was delicious!) I think he could have talked me into anything! They have a new special, it's pumpkin ravioli. Again, not a big fan of pumpkin normally, but this dish was so yummy! It makes me want to run out and buy a pasta machine. It was served with a spiced apple compote and it was like eating autumn.  

After dinner, we took a little walk downtown and decided that what really needs is a soda fountain with an old-fashioned soda jerk mixing sodas for the kids. We love that shop, but a soda fountain would make it super awesome. Can someone make that happen? Come on, it's my birthday!
