Feeding Feral Cats

Unwanted cat food.

I’m a member of the neighborhood association in downtown Campbell and someone posted a concern last week that there was a well-meaning person who was putting out cat food around the neighborhood--probably intended for feral cats.

The result was that wildlife was probably getting most of it (squirrels, raccoons, possums, birds) and it was also drawing some undesirables and creating some garbage effect.

As one who used to take food to feral cats (many moons ago) at the creek, I completely understand someone who wants to make sure that all the cats are fed, but this isn’t the way.

If anyone notices who is doing this, please tell them it’s a nuisance.
