Volunteer victims are still needed for two emergency exercises; the first takes place Saturday at Blackberry Farm Park, the second on Tuesday in Campbell and Saratoga.
Students can earn service hours (and snacks!) for pretending to be a victim in the exercise for Cupertino Citizen Corps CARES, CERT, MRC, DART, Block Leaders and Neighborhood Watch groups.
The exercise runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and there are both morning or afternoon shifts, or all day shifts.

Saturday’s drill will focus on basic CERT (Community Emergency Response Training), radio and medical skills including such practices as First Aid, safely transporting people, search and rescue, triage, utilities shutoff, and more.

Santa Clara County Fire has one- or two-hour afternoon shifts open between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the Saratoga Community Center, at 19655 Allendale Ave., in Saratoga.
