President Barack Obama's trip to the South Bay isn't just about fundraising, but about touting the Affordable Care Act.

Obama will deliver an address about the ACA in San Jose on Friday and its potential benefits for Californians. He also plans to highlight "promising news that, despite dire predictions, early data on insurance competition and premiums in the state," according to a press statement.

While the ACA—also known as Obamacare—passed through Congress in 2010, the healthcare bill continues to polarize political leaders.

The San Jose Mercury News also reports that this might be a way to move attention away from other issues plaguing The White House

Obama will speak at The Fairmont Hotel Friday morning after fundraising in Palo Alto at the home of Mike and Marcie McCue and in Portola Valley at the home of Vinod and Neera Khosla on Thursday.
