As Dan Rich, former Campbell City Manager,gears up to begin his new job in next month, Campbell looked within to find a replacement.
Today, Mayor announced the appointment of as Interim City Manager effective July 11 to replace Rich.
Bito has 21 years of city experience, 14 of those years working in Campbell's City Manager’s department.
"I'm honored that the Mayor and Council are entrusting me to lead this organization during this transition phase and I will work very hard to maintain the quality of services and programs residents expect and deserve," Bito said in a release.
The average processing time for advertising, recruitment and selection for a city manager takes about six months.
