Campbell to 'Get Shredded' Friday!

Document destruction begins promptly at 11 a.m. at the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Ave. C31.

The City of Campbell is inviting the public to bring up to five file size boxes of paper to be shredded free at its "get shredded" event at the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Ave. C31, at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.

Residents will find the event's entrance on the Latimer Avenue side of the center's parking lot near the tennis courts.

Look for the red "get shredded!" signs, says the announcement on the city's website.

The event, which will last until 2 p.m., is sponsored by The Mission Society of Enrolled Agents.

Paper shredding advocates say the practice is good to protect yourself from identity theft and fraud and has legal and environmental benefits.
