App Allows Voters to Track Vote by Mail Ballot

SCCVOTE app allows users to find identify districts, elected officials, polling places, and more.

Redistricting threw some residents into a new district and to help voters keep track of which district they are now in—or still in—can come with the touch of a button on your smartphone thanks to a new app launched by Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters.

Called SCCVOTE, the app allows users to search for polling places, keep track of your Vote by Mail ballot, election night tallies, and more.

The app can be downloaded on iPhone, iPad or Android phones.

On election night Patch will post regular updates on elections so stay in touch through the night.

Other features available on SCCVOTE include:

  • Voter Guide, with information on measures and candidates
  • View your sample ballot
  • Check if you are registered
  • Look up your districts and elected officials
  • Contact the Registrar of Voters with questions about elections and voting

I am impressed with CalTrans ability to do the cleanup, but the problem of homelessness does not goRead More away. Until we find a way to help these people in need, the camps will just move to another location, and everything will start all over again. The homeless need help - whether they want it or not. It's time to get that ball rolling.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and myRead More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth. Thank you for sharing your story and memories! Very truly yours, Karen Hunt Great grandaughter of the owner of the Original Fabers Cyclery.
