Woman Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run

Campbell police have asked for the public's help in finding the suspected driver.

Campbell police are searching for a driver suspected of hitting two pedestrians as they crossed a downtown street early Saturday morning, according to a press release from the Campbell Police Department.

The driver reportedly hit the two pedestrians, a man and a woman, near Campbell Avenue and Second Street at approximately 1:55 a.m., police said.

The 24-year-old female victim was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the man suffered minor injuries and “was able to walk away from the scene,” police said.

The suspects, two males driving “a black car, possibly a BMW or a Honda,” reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign, police said. They were last seen driving westbound on Winchester Boulevard, and the car may have incurred front-end damage.

Those with information regarding the accident are urged to call Traffic Officer Dave Wetzel at 408-866-2715.
