Toppled Tree Slows Northbound Traffic on Hwy. 17

A toppled tree was blocking one lane of traffic on northbound state Highway 17 in Los Gatos Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The tree came down in the roadway near Blossom Hill Road around noon. A Sig-alert was issued at 12:19 p.m., according to the CHP.

The downed tree was initially blocking two lanes. As of 1 p.m., one lane had reopened.

No cars were hit by the tree, according to the CHP. Officials have not said when the closed lane will reopen.
