Three Suspects Arrested in Armed Robbery That Left Nearby Schools Locked Down

The Wells Fargo Bank on Camden Avenue near the Campbell border was robbed on Aug. 27.

Police have released more information about that prompted lockdowns at several San Jose schools.

Police received reports of an armed robbery at the Wells Fargo bank at 2061 Camden Avenue at 1:37 p.m. Monday, San Jose police said.

Two men robbed the bank at gunpoint and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers were able to quickly arrest Aikili Mosley, 20, from Palmdale, Calif., at Camden and Union avenues after he fled on foot, police said.

As part of the investigation, officers tracked down a vehicle registered to Mosley that had been seen leaving the area of the bank robbery.

The gold 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was found driving northbound Interstate Highway 880 near North First Street, police said.

The car was stopped on the highway at East Brokaw Road where the driver Martel Charrod Williams, 18, was arrested, along with a passenger in the car, Glenn William Johnson, 22, police said.

Both are from Los Angeles.

Police believe Johnson is the second suspect who entered the bank, while Williams was the getaway driver.

Officers found a firearm used during the robbery, as well as the money taken from the bank.

All three suspects were booked at the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of committing an armed robbery.

As police searched for the second suspect, six schools and the Cambrian School District offices were told to either go on lockdown or shelter in place.

The schools affected were Oster Elementary School, Ida Price Middle School, Camden Community Day School, ATLC Preschool & Extended Care Inc., Fammatre Charter Elementary School and St. Frances Cabrini Elementary School, police said.
