Suspect in Bank of the West Robbery Still At Large

Campbell Police are looking for an adult male, 6'0-6'2," with reddish-blond facial hair and a heavy build.

 

Campbell Police Capt. Dave Carmichael says that police are still searching for the suspect in the robbery bank robbery at the on 1999 S. Bascom Ave. in Campbell that took place Aug. 24..

On Friday, Aug. 24 at 3:07 p.m., a suspect described as a male adult, 6'0-6'2," heavy built with reddish-blond facial hair and wearing a black beanie, white short-sleeve T-shirt and dark shorts, approached the counter and presented a demand note. The note, a folded piece of cardboard stated that he had a gun and was demanding money, Carmichael said.

The Bank of the West teller gave him the money and he then fled out the east doors and turned right. It is unknown where he went from there.

"Our detectives are following several leads, but no arrests have been made
yet in this case," he said.

The daytime robbery took place just days before  at 2061 Camden Ave. in San Jose, not far off left local schools locked down. Those suspects are in custody.

"At this time, we have not connected our suspect to other bank robberies," Carmichael said.
