Suspect in Campbell Kidnapping, Alleged Child Abuse Case Gets Continued

George Rodriguez' plea hearing is pushed to July 1.

One of two suspects in the case of alleged of a 3-year-old Campbell girl was set to enter a plea yesterday, but the case was continued.

The defendant, George Rodriguez, 35, was arrested on June 8 on a $125,000 warrant on charges of .

The second suspect, the victim's mother Jane Marin, 31, was arrested May 31 and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on felony child abuse charges. Her court date is July 6 at 8:30 a.m. She has not entered a plea yet.

Rodriguez' new court date is July 1 at 2:00 p.m.

The 3-year-old is in protected custody within the juvenile dependency system and is now a ward of the state.
