Sunday Crime of the Day: Drinking...and Some Major Theft

Is it because football started again? 

Campbell Police spent much of Sunday arrested people for being intoxicated or drinking and driving.

At 12:44 a.m. Abhinav Mathur, 22, was arrested at Civic Center and First Street for driving under the influence.

At 1:55 a.m. Charles Arpan, 33, was stopped at Winchester Boulevard and Latimer for driving while intoxicated.

At 3:35 a.m. on the 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue, Robert Tommy, 47, was determined to be too drunk to care for himself. He was booked.

At 4:06 p.m. Coleen Dulleamathis, 53, was arrested on the 800 block of West Hamilton Avenue for being drunk in public.

At 9:46 p.m. Roger Contreras was on the 300 block of Orchard City and was determined to be too drunk to care for himself. He was booked.

At 9:48 p.m. Sheena Sanchez, 27, broke the front window of her apartment on the 100 block of North Santa Teresa and was also arrested for being too intoxicated to care for herself.

In the more serious crime department: A Chevy pickup loaded with a street sweeper was stolen from the 1600 block of West Campbell Avenue between 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday.

A purse was stolen from the 00 block of North Second Street between 10 p.m. and midnight.

Police found a stolen 1997 Honda at Payne and Essex at 1:15 a.m.
