Sleeping on Benches, DUIs and Fights: This Weekend's Campbell Police Wrap-Up

Thursday, Sept. 29

2:08 a.m.

First Street at Orchard City Drive

The suspect was stopped for a California Vehicle Code violation, found to be DUI and was booked.

9:19 p.m.

300 Block of Budd Ave.

The suspect was contacted in the park after hours and found to be in possession of marijuana and was cited.

11:11 p.m.

200 Block of Orchard City Dr.

A suspect was in line. His friend was arguing with another group in line and the suspect flicked his cigarette at them, striking a second suspect in the face. The second suspect confronted the first and they squared off. The first suspect took a punch at the second suspect but missed. The second suspect then hit him and knocked him to the ground. The first suspect later went to the hospital for his injuries, which were not that severe. He was treated and released.

6:00 p.m.-1:45 a.m.

W. Campbell Avenue

An unknown suspect smashed the window out with an unknown object. No entry was made into the room.

Sept. 15-30

1500 Block of White Oaks Rd.

An unknown suspect entered the house by unknown means and removed cash in change from the closet.

8:36 p.m.

North 3rd Street at Civic Center Drive

A 28-year-old suspect was stopped for a California Vehicle Code violation, was found to be DUI and was booked.

1:00-9:00 p.m.

500 Block of Hacienda Ave.

An unknown suspect kicked open the front door of the apartment, damaging the door jamb. The suspect entered the residence, however, nothing was taken. 

Friday, Sept. 30

7:22 a.m.

So. Winchester Boulevard at Budd Avenue

A suspect was contacted in regards to a welfare check and was determined to be under the influence of a stimulant and was booked.

11:30 a.m-12:49 p.m.

500 Block of Virginia Ave.

An unknown suspect entered the residence through an unlocked rear sliding door and stole a laptop and a mountain bike.

Saturday, Oct. 1

1:55 p.m.

Hacienda at Virginia avenues

A 44-year-old suspect was stopped for erratic driving. She was determined to be driving under the influence and was booked.

Sept. 14

500 Block of Railway Ave.

An unknown suspect was attempting to use stolen credit card information to make purchases.

1:20 p.m.

2800 Block of S. Winchester Blvd.

A suspect pushed a victim after a dispute.

Sept. 9-Oct. 1

Superior Drive

An unknown suspect entered a garage and stole a men’s mountain bike.

7:45 p.m.

2300 Block of S. Winchester Blvd.

A 15 to 17-year-old suspect and a 17-year old suspect approached a victim and challenged her to a fight. The 15-17 year-old then pulled the victim and punched her.

9:25 p.m.

300 Block of W. Campbell Ave.

A suspect threw a rock through a window.

12:00 to 11:00 p.m.

700 Block of Ricky Dr.

A suspect entered the residence and took a laptop.

12:04 a.m.

Winchester Boulevard north of Rincon Avenue

A 31-year-old was observed staggering down Winchester Boulevard and was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested.

1:25 a.m.

Central at Campbell avenues

A 23-year-old was located sleeping on a bench. He was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was booked.

1:48 a.m.

200 Block of Orchard City Dr.

A 24-year-old thought the victim was cursing at him so he punched the victim in the face several times.

2:02 a.m.

First Street at Campbell Avenue

A 27-year-old was observed yelling at and pushing a friend. Upon contact, he was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself and was booked.

Sunday, Oct. 2

12:45 a.m.-12:12 p.m.

Hatcher Court at White Oaks Road

An unknown suspect broke into the victim’s Toyota and removed her purse.

Oct. 1

Albatross Court

An unknown suspect called the victim claiming that he was her grandson who had been arrested in Mexico. The victim sent money.

3:30 p.m.

2300 Block of S. Winchester Blvd.

A 45-year-old suspect went to the store with two bags and no money. She filled the bags with merchandise and left. She was arrested.

8:42 p.m.

300 Block of Railway Ave.

Two male suspects in their 20s spray painted the wall. Campbell Police searched the area and were unable to locate.

11:57 p.m.

700 Block of West Valley Dr.

A 25-year-old suspect was found to be intoxicated and determined to be unable to care for himself. A computer check revealed the suspect had a warrant and he was booked.

12:45 a.m.

500 Block of E. Hamilton Ave.

A 17-year-old suspect who had been arrested by Campbell Police on Sept. 25 fled the area and was still at large. Officers responded to Juvenile Hall and cited the suspect for several charges related to his investigation.
