UPDATE: Shooting on Winchester Boulevard, Near Hamilton Avenue

This fourth violent incident in San Jose took place at the Campbell-San Jose border, following two other shootings and a stabbing on Aug. 13.

San Jose Police Department responded to a report of a shooting on South Winchester Boulevard near Campbell this afternoon.

According to San Jose Police, calls were received at 2:32 p.m. that a male adult had been shot. Officer arrived at the 1500 block of S. Winchester Blvd., near David Avenue and found a Hispanic male in his 20s suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Police said that the motive is unknown and no arrests have been made in connection to this shooting. The man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

This is the fourth violent incident in San Jose this week. On Monday, a shooting left one dead and a second shooting left anotherother hospitalized. Later that same day, a woman was stabbed to death near a Walgreens.
