Practicing Medicine Without License

Entering a Closed Area

Kirk Troxel, 24, of San Jose, April 15, 5:30 p.m., at Summit Rock in Los Gatos, for entering a closed area.

Rape, Kidnapping

Rogelio Gutierrez, 32, of Gilroy, June 20, 10:24 p.m., at 350 Buena Vista in Gilroy, for three felonies related to inflicting corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant, forcible spousal rape and kidnapping. Bail set at $200,000.

DUI

  • Joshua Metcalf, 34, of Merced, June 20, 11:01 p.m., at Highway 9 and Fruitvale Avenue inSaratoga, for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 and driving under the influence. Bail set at $5,000.
  • Alexis Geno, 26, of Los Altos, June 21, 1:56 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave. in San Jose, for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 and driving under the influence.
  • Srilaxmi Kanna, 33, of Campbell, June 21, 5:15 p.m., at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office, 55 W. Younger Ave. in San Jose, for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 and driving under the influence. Bail set at $10,000.
  • Bryan Frame, 37, of Campbell, June 22, 11 a.m., at 200 W. Hedding St. and Guadalupe in San Jose, for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 and driving under the influence.

DUI/Suspended License

Agustin Martinez, 23, of Morgan Hill, June 21, 3:30 p.m., at the San Mateo County Jail, for two misdemeanors related to driving with a suspended license and driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08.

Under the Influence

Delia Sandoval, 31, of Gilroy, June 22, 9:29 a.m., at the South County Courthouse, 301 Diane Ave. and Butterfield Boulevard in Morgan Hill, for using/being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Child Endangerment/Possession

Jovanna Ledesma, 39, of Hollister, June 21, 4:15 p.m., at Bolsa Road and Bloomfield Avenue in Gilroy, for felony willful harm/injury to child/child endangerment and possession of marijuana/hash for sale. Bail set at $10,000.

Petty Theft

  • Darren Boice, 55, of Campbell, Dec. 8, 2011, 7:13 p.m., at 751 Bascom Avenue in San Jose, for petty theft.
  • Jamie Muniz, 29, of Morgan Hill, June 21, 10:45 a.m., at the San Jose Hall of Justice, Dept. 42, for petty theft of personal property, larceny.
  • Jasmine Norman, 21, of Cupertino, June 1, 2 p.m., at 20955 Stevens Creek Blvd. in Cupertino, for petty theft of personal property and interfering with lawful business.

Exhibiting Deadly Weapon

  • Dennis Tran, 25, of Milpitas, June 21, 10:40 a.m., at 200 W. Hedding and Guadalupe in San Jose, for exhibiting a deadly weapon.
  • Victor Molina, 29, of Gilroy, June 22, 1:30 a.m., at Masten Avenue and Mana Way in Gilroy, for misdemeanor possession of controlled substance, use/under the influence of controlled substance, vandalism less than $400, exhibiting a deadly weapon and unlawful/malicious removal of wireless communication device with the intent to prevent the use of it to summon assistance or notify law enforcement or any public safety agency of a crime. Bail set at $22,000.

Assault With Deadly Weapon

Adan Ortiz Munoz, 23, of Gilroy, June 21, 2:50 p.m., at 370 Leavesley Road and Murry in Gilroy, for felony assault with a deadly weapon, driving with a blood alcohol level higher than 0.08 and driving under the influence. Bail set at $100,000.

Vehicle Code Violations

  • Miguel Lupercio, 25, of San Jose, April 3, 5:55 p.m., at De Anza Boulevard and Highway 280 inCupertino, for misdemeanor driving with privileges suspended or revoked, suspended license and right turn at intersection.
  • Adriana Torres, 36, of Turlock, June 18, 3:35 p.m., at De Anza and Stevens Creek boulevards inCupertino, for an expired registration, failing to provide financial responsibility of vehicle, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and presentation of evidence of registration for wrong vehicle.
  • Martov Alvarez, 26, of Santa Clara, May 23, 7:52 p.m., at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Vista Drive in Cupertino, for driving with privileges suspended or revoked and possession of marijuana in vehicle.
  • Jose Quinto Franco, 26, of San Jose, June 17, 2:45 a.m., at Saratoga and Cox avenues inSaratoga, for driving with privileges suspended or revoked and not having lighting equipment of a required type installed on a vehicle.
  • Gerardo Ortiz, 40, of San Jose, May 28, 7:45 a.m., at Prospect Road and Saratoga Avenue inSaratoga, for failing to provide financial responsibility of vehicle and having a suspended license.

Grand Theft

  • Thomas Lam, 21, of Fremont, June 22, 4 p.m., at 10333 No. Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino, for felony first-degree burglary, grand theft, conspiracy to commit a felony, misdemeanor petty theft, felony using another person's identifying information for unlawful purpose, obtain money by false pretenses, possession, receive, utter, pass forged paper. Bail set at $70,000.
  • Eric Lam, 25, of Fremont, June 22, 4 p.m., at 10333 No. Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino, for misdemeanor petty theft, and felonies related to using another person's identifying information for unlawful purpose, obtain money by false pretenses, possession, receive, utter, pass forged paper, grand theft, conspiracy to commit a felony and first-degree burglary. Bail set at $70,000.

I am impressed with CalTrans ability to do the cleanup, but the problem of homelessness does not goRead More away. Until we find a way to help these people in need, the camps will just move to another location, and everything will start all over again. The homeless need help - whether they want it or not. It's time to get that ball rolling.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and myRead More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth.
