The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two missing children at risk.

In a flier released to the media Friday afternoon with the images of the girls, the SJPD said sisters Rachel and Chrissie Rodriguez, ages 10 and 13, respectively, ran away from their foster home at 905 Juliet Ave. at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10.

"The sisters were upset about having to move into a new residence, so they fled their foster home before they were place," the flier stated.

The flier goes on to say that if the girls are located, they need to be placed at the Children's Shelter under the California Welfare and Institutions Code 300, which defines when children are within the jurisdiction of the juvenile dependency court.

Rachel is described as being 5-foot, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Chrissie is described as being 5-foot-5, weighing 220 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Their ethnicity is listed as Hispanic.

Anyone with information about the girls is urged to notify SJPD's missing persons unit at 408-277-4786.
