Motorcyclist Killed on Hwy 101 ID'd

A man killed after being knocked off his motorcycle and run over by a big-rig in Sunnyvale Wednesday evening has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as 22-year-old Cedrick Comparan.

Comparan, of San Jose, was riding his bike on southbound U.S. Highway 101 just south of the Lawrence Expressway when he was involved in a three-car collision at about 6:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

The CHP said Comparan and a white pickup truck were involved in a crash and then after being knocked off the bike, he was run over by a UPS  big-rig.

Comparan was pronounced dead at the scene.
