Campbell Police received multiple calls Wednesday about an incident at the Home Depot parking lot.
According to police, a silver or white four-door, possibly Mercury Sable was seen chasing a dark blue or black pickup truck through the parking lot and onto Hamilton Avenue.
The drive of the sable was waving a handgun out of the driver's window while chasing the truck at around 4:21 p.m. Nov. 28, police said. The cars were last seen east on Hamilton Avenue toward Highway 17.
"We were made aware of the incident by two customers who witnessed the incident," said Campbell Police Capt. Dave Carmichael. "No victim ever came forward to us."
The suspect who waved the handgun is only described as having dark hair. His light-colored Mercury Sable-type car is also described as being "beat-up," Carmichael said.
The driver of the second vehicle, a pick-up and possible victim, is described as a white male, 18 to 25 years old with short brown or reddish hair and a short beard.
"At this point, we have no further leads," Carmichael said. "No shots were fired."
Campbell Police issued a "Be on the lookout" to surrounding agencies.
