Updated at 6:27 p.m.—The overturned vehicle has been cleared and all southbound lanes have reopened, according to a CHP dispatcher.
An overturned vehicle in the center divide on the southbound side of Hwy. 17 near E. Hamilton Ave. has shut down the two left lanes, according the California Highway Patrol's website.
The car flipped over several times before coming to a stop in the center divide at 5:23 p.m. today.
A CHP dispatcher that asked not to be named said the lanes will remain blocked until a tow truck can remove the vehicle. She did not know when the lanes will be reopened.
An unknown number of passengers have sustained minor injuries, the dispatcher said.
CHP is advising drivers to find alternate routes.
