East Side, West Side, Car Burglaries All Over Town

There's been a rash of things stolen from cars the past two nights, according to Campbell Police reports.

Burglars broke into cars on the 600 block of Sobrato Drive and the 600 block of Gamma Court, over night Monday.

Two people were interrupted breaking into a storage container at 11 p.m. on the 700 block of E. McGlincey Ave. A witness gave chase but they weren't caught.

Saturday night or Sunday morning someone broke into a car on the 800 block of Sobrato Drive and on the 900 block of the same street.

A car was burgled Sunday on the 300 block of North First Street and someone smashed the window of a car on the 00 block of North Second Street and stole a purse.

Police Capt. Charley Adams reminds people to lock their cars and don't leave valuables in sight. Put them in the trunk, if you must leave something in the car.

"If they don't see anything obvious, they will move onto the next car," said Adams. "I can't preach that enough. If you see someone looking around the neighborhood, take a good look at them. If they look suspicious, call us and we'll come out. We need people to be our eyes and ears."
