DUIs, Stolen Cars and More: Campbell Weekend Crime Wrap-Up

The following arrest information was supplied by the Campbell Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday July 12

3:30 p.m.

900 Block of W. Hamilton Ave.

A victim accidentally left her iPad in her shopping cart. When she went back to retrieve it, the iPad was gone. A report was filed.

2:01 p.m.

Cherry Avenue at California Street

A 50-year-old suspect and a victim got into an argument and during the argument, the suspect threw a purse at the victim. The suspect then walked away. She was contacted at Milton and Campbell avenues and determined to be too intoxicated to care for herself. She was booked.

8:30 p.m.

Hamilton And Eden

A 16-year-old suspect was in violation of his probation by being out past his curfew and being in possession of marijuana. He was cited and returned to his parents.

9:17 p.m.

600 Block of E. Hamilton Ave.

A 44-year-old suspect took merchandise from the store without paying. She was cited and released.

1:38 a.m.

300 Block of Kuehnis Dr.

A 42-year-old suspect was contacted during a domestic violence incident and found to have a n outstanding warrant. She was booked.

1:37 a.m.

1300 Block of Walnut Dr. 

 A 24-year-old, 23-year-old and 27-year-old suspects were intoxicated and riding home inside a taxi cab. The suspects  became belligerent and started assaulting the taxi driver. A report was taken.

Saturday, July 13

6:15 p.m.

90 Block of Connie Dr.

A search warrant was served for sales of narcotics at the home of a 19-year-old suspect. Police located narcotics for sale at the residence and the suspect was booked.

3:00-10:45 p.m.

W. Campbell Ave. 

An unknown suspect smashed a window on the car and removed a wallet. A report was taken.

2:25 a.m.

Campbell Avenue and Second Street

A 28-year-old suspect was stopped for a California Vehicle Code violation and was found to be DUI. He was booked.

10:00 p.m.-8:45 a.m.

1000 Block of Longfellow Dr.

An unknown suspect stole a white, 2002 Ford Ranger pick-up truck. A report was taken.

11:50 a.m.

600 Block of E. Hamilton Ave.

A 57-year-old suspect concealed DVD movies and left the store without paying. He was stopped outside the store by loss prevention and was cited. 

5:30 p.m.-12:53 a.m.

700 Block of E. Campbell Ave.

An unknown suspect caused damage to one of the ATM machines. Follow up by officer. 

4:30 p.m.

400 Block of E Hamilton Ave.

A suspect, described as a Hispanic male adult in his 20s, 6’ tall stole an iPhone. A report was taken.

5:00 p.m.

300 Block of Budd Ave. 

A 44-year-old suspect  was contacted for being passed out in the bushes. He has two warrants and was booked.

Sunday, July 14

8:33 a.m.

1600 Block of Elwood 

A 20-year-old suspect was in violation of a restraining order. She was arrested without incident and booked.

1:23 p.m.

100 Block of E Latimer Ave.

A 59-year-old suspect beat the victim around the face with his fists, causing moderate injuries. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

1:49 p.m.

100 Block of N San Tomas Aquino

A 27-year-old scratched the victim on the face and body and was booked.

Last night

600 Block of Creekside Ave

An unknown suspect stole a wallet from a victim’s room. A report was taken. 

3:58 p.m.

900 Block of W. Hamilton Ave. 

A 51-year-old was caught shoplifting, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and had a no-bail warrant. She was booked. 

9:00 p.m.

Valley Fore at Maria Way 

A 1998 Honda Civic reported stolen out of San Jose was recovered. A report was taken.

11:22 p.m.

Colonial Way at Winchester Blvd. 

A 2002 Ford Ranger pickup was located. It had been reported stolen out of Campbell. A report was taken.

11:55 p.m.

Campbell at Bascom avenues

A 21-year-old was found to have an outstanding warrant and was booked.

1:03 a.m.

Eden Avenue at Bluebird Dr. 

A 1994 Honda Accord that reported stolen out of San Jose was located. A report was taken.

2:25 a.m.

Driftwood at Castlemont Ave.

A 1992 Toyota truck reported stolen out of San Jose was located. A report was taken.

2:26 a.m.

Nido Drive at Budd Ave. 

A 52-year-old was determined to be DUI and was booked.

4:04 a.m.

Eden at Loma Verde

A 26-year-old was determined to have an outstanding warrant and was in the possession of meth. She was booked.

5:17 a.m.

200 Block of Hollis Ave. 

A victim alleged that a 23-year-old suspect assaulted her. The case was forwarded to the DA.
