Firefighters in Campbell extinguished a one-alarm house fire early this morning.
Crews responded to a report of fire at a home on Curtner Avenue at about 4 a.m., Santa Clara County fire Chief Arson Investigator Dennis Johnsen said.
An occupant of a two-room outbuilding awoke to find fire in one of the rooms, Johnsen said.
The man woke up and started putting water on the fire with a hose, Johnsen said.
Firefighters responded and declared the fire under control in about 30 minutes, he said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
