Campbell Police Offer Tips for Trick-or-Treaters

Safety should always be top of mind during Halloween.

Since the advise still applies, here's that list to keep in mind.

Campbell Police Department Capt. Dave Carmichael on the top five things to keep in mind this holiday season.

  1. Watch for traffic. Attach reflective tape to clothing and bags to help drivers see you.
  2. Carry a flashlight to help others see you and to help you identify potential hazards.
  3. Stay in a group. Never go trick or treating alone.
  4. Stay on sidewalks and use crosswalks if possible. Look both ways before crossing the street.
  5. Examine all treats for choking hazards before allowing young children to eat them.
