Campbell Police Ask for Help Identifying Serial Bank Robber

The suspect has been linked to six robberies in four South Bay cities including Campbell.

 

The suspect in two Campbell bank robberies has now been linked to four others in the South Bay and Campbell Police is looking for the public's help in identifying him.

A white male in his 30s, approximately 5'8'' to 5'10'' tall with a stocky build and a goatee or full five o-clock shadow was seen robbing the following banks:

  • Aug. 24: Bank of the West in Campbell
  • Sept. 5: US Bank in Campbell
  • Sept. 10: Wells Fargo in Sunnyvale
  • Sept. 18: Wells Fargo in San Jose
  • Sept. 25: Chase Bank in Los Gatos
  • Oct. 16: Bank of America in Sunnyvale 

"All the police departments have been working together but want to put it out to the public," said Campbell Police Sgt. Gary Berg. "Since the most recent pictures obtained in Sunnyvale were good ones, we're hoping someone would recognize him."

Campbell Police have been working with the Los Gatos Police Department, San Jose Police Department and Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety after video surveillance showed the same suspect in each of the six robberies.

"No weapon has been seen at any of the robberies," Berg said."We don’t have any information on vehicles associated with him but from bank surveillance video, very clear it’s the same suspect in all robberies."
