Campbell PD Search for Day Time Armed Robbery Suspect

Three men robbed the US Bank in Campbell Wednesday afternoon at gun point.

US Bank in Campbell was robbed Wednesday afternoon, according to Campbell Police.

The first tweet came in two hours ago, at about 3:30 p.m. that the US Bank at 1998 S. Bascom Ave. had been robbed and police are looking for help from residents.

According to the Mercury News, two men armed with handguns jumped the counter at the bank at about 12:43 p.m. and fled in an awaiting car. The suspects then abandoned their car, a red GMC Sierra near the corner East Campbell Ave. and South Midway St. Campbell Police said the car used in the robbery was reported stolen in Watsonville.

The suspects were described by police as white or Latino men in their late 20s or early 30s, one 5'9" and the second 5'6" and heavyset. Both men were reportedly wearing masks, the taller one wearing a dark-colored hoodie and the shorter one wearing a tan hoodie.

The description for the driver is a white or Latino man in his late 20s, heavyset with a towel covering the lower half of his face.

The men were last seen getting into a blue/green SUV similar to a Chevy Tahoe and a small silver compact similar to a Honda, police said.

This US Bank location was robbed less than a year ago.
