Campbell PD's Halloween Safety Tips

Campbell Police give their top five tips on staying safe.

Campbell knows how to treat its children. Trick or treating events are happening at the , at the Kirkwood Plaza on Oct. 28 and downtown Campbell on Oct. 29.

Halloween is full of tricks and treats, candy, costumes and an all around good time. Safety should be top of mind in order to keep this festivity fun for everyone.

  1. Watch for traffic. Attach reflective tape to clothing and bags to help drivers see you.
  2. Carry a flashlight to help others see you and to help you identify potential hazards.
  3. Stay in a group. Never go trick or treating alone.
  4. Stay on sidewalks and use crosswalks if possible. Look both ways before crossing the street.
  5. Examine all treats for choking hazards before allowing young children to eat them.
