Campbell PD: Lost Drunk Calls Police, Gets Arrested; Home Break-In

Some notable incidents encountered May 1 to 4.

SUNDAY, MAY 4

  • DUI arrest of motorist, 23, 1:38 a.m. Latimer and First Street.
  • Alcohol theft arrest of suspects, 23 and 17, 6:28 p.m. on 2300 S. Winchester Blvd. Minor released to parent.
  • Car break-in: window smashed, purse stolen 8:15 a.m. 10 10 a.m. on 100 W. Campbell Ave. 
SATURDAY, MAY 3
  • Public intoxication arrest 11:46 a.m. of male, 29, Bascom and McBain.
  • Bank/loan fraud reported on 100 North 3rd Street. Victim's identification used to obtain loan in 2013.
  • DUIs: male, 35, 12:51 a.m. Curtner and Erin; male, 46, 2:39 a.m. on 300 Union Avenue.
FRIDAY, MAY 2
  • Car break-ins: noon on Kennedy Ave., window smashed and gym bag stolen; 1:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on 1700 W. Campbell Ave., window smashed, purse stolen, credit cards immediately used; on W. Latimer Ave., property stolen.
  • Warrant and drug arrest of male, 23, for alleged possession of heroin, cocaine, meth at 8:43 a.m. on 1700 S. Bascom. 
  • Burglary reported on 1700 block of Hyde Street. Jewelry and electronics stolen. 
  • Battery reported 6:30 p.m. at restaurant on 2100 S. Winchester Blvd. 
  • DUI: 2:52 a.m. Virginia at Hazel, male, 25. 
THURSDAY, MAY 1
  • Warrant and suspected drug influence arrest made 7:47 p.m. on male, 39, on 300 Budd Avenue.
  • Double arrest of two individuals, 34, and 22, made for suspected use/influence of controlled substances 10:51 p.m. Camden and Highway 17. Also vehicle code violation.
  • Male,29, arrested for alleged public intoxication. Flagged down officers because could not find his way home at Winchester and Rincon 1:39 a.m. 
  • Package stolen off front porch April 16 along 1100 Audrey Avenue. Reported May 1.
  • Car break-in 1 p.m. to 1:42 p.m. along 600 E. Campbell Ave. Window smashed; purse stolen.
  • Vehicle vandalism reported: on 1200 Erin Way, window smashed on Chevy van, nothing stolen;  Fulton and Whitwood Lane, Porsche SUV's windows, mirror smashed, body scratched dented.
  • Battery reported 8:54 p.m. along 200 E. Campbell Ave. Female, 20s, hit a victim on head with high heel shoe; Male, 20s, punched another victim trying to help.
