Campbell PD: Kitty Litter in Gas Tanks; Truants; Break-Ins

Notable incidents encountered May 5 to 12.

Monday, May 12

  • Break-ins: between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on 400 block of April Way, entry made by breaking rear home window; between 9:20 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. on 1200 W. San Tomas Aquinas Road with laptops stolen.
  • Green 1992 Honda Accord stolen overnight from parking structure at 1800 S. Bascom Ave. All car keys accounted for.
  • Minor, 16, concealed beer in backpack and walked out of store on 2300 S. Winchester Blvd. at  7:05 p.m.
  • Male, 19, stole items from store at 2300 S. Winchester Blvd.
Sunday, May 11
  • Warrant arrest of individual, 35, 12:44 p.m. Latimer and Third.
  • Public intoxication: female, 44, 11:40 a.m. on 1300 Whiteoaks Road.
  • Use/influence arrest: male, 52, 3:11 p.m. on 2200 S. Bascom Ave.  
Saturday, May 10
  • DUIs: female, 22, 6:28 p.m. Second at Civic Center; male, 29, 12:40 a.m. Campbell at Gilman.
  • Theft arrest of male, 42, for stolen tools 8:30 p.m. on 400 E. Hamilton.
Friday, March 9
  • Minors, 15, 15 and 14, found being truant and in possession of tobacco and marijuana at 10:39 a.m. at Eden and Cadillac. 
  • Warrant arrest of male, 23, 9:10 a.m. on 1000 block of Arroyo Seco Drive.
  • DUIs: male, 55, 11:30 p.m. on Bascom/Union; male, 47, 1:25 a.m. on Hamilton/Kuehnis.
Thursday, May 8
  • Kitty litter was reportedly poured into gas tanks of pickup truck on 600 block of Emory. Happened last month.
  • Males, 15 and 18, arrested for being in stolen vehicle that crashed into curb at 5 p.m. at Christopher and Wren.
  • Minor, 16, cited and turned over to parents after being found with syringes and prescription medications and allegedly under opiate influence at 12:30 a.m. at Campbell and Fulton.
  • Woman struck on head with liquor bottle by man, 38, on 600 block of Alpha Court at 9 p.m.
Wednesday, May 7
  • Two males, 19 and 18, cited and cars towed for allegedly racing vehicles on Campbell Avenue and San Tomas Expressway at 11:50 p.m.
  • Traffic stop at 1:40 a.m. at Budd/Emory: 2 arrests - male, 40, for warrant and female, 43, for being under influence of controlled substance.
  • Vehicle reported stolen -- a red 2014 Toyota Corolla -- from 40 block of N. 2nd Street.
Tuesday, May 6
  • Break-ins reported: 1300 block of West STAR between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.; along 1400 Queens Court between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Two bike thefts logged on 600 Beta Court.
  • Suspect swung skateboard at 9 p.m. at person playing basketball on 600 E. Campbell Ave.
Monday, May 5
  • Suspected credit card fraud and cocaine arrest of male, 28, 11:52 a.m. on 600 block of E. Hamilton Avenue.
  • Male, 57, threatened woman, 59, with large butcher knife and that he would "get his gun and shoot" her at 9:36 p.m. on the 1300 block of Munro Avenue. Suspect walked off and not located.
  • Vehicle accident 9 p.m. Winchester Blvd. and Hamilton AVe. Male, 22, arrested for allegedly being under influence of substance. Female victim transported to hospital.
