Bank of the West at Campbell Plaza Robbed

Campbell Police said three masked men robbed the local bank on Oct. 25.

Three men with black nylons covering their faces entered the Bank of the West at the Campbell Plaza Shopping Center Thursday and robbed it.

Campbell Police Sgt. Gary Berg said the robbery, not connected to a serial robber police are looking for, took place Oct. 25 at 10:00 a.m.

"The men walked into the bank, demanded money and then jumped over the counter and went through the drawers," Berg said.

Although there have been three bank robberies within the last two months, Berg said there isn't an uptick in these types of crimes in Campbell.

"Obviously with the one yesterday and the two before that we are higher than we usually have been but we are not seeing a rising trend," he said.
