Sizzle Goes Sinister--Fire Department Stops Bacon Blaze
Small cooking fire contained in less than 10 minutes.
A single Santa Clara County Fire truck was dispatched to a home in Campbell Dec. 12.
A call came in at 7:48 p.m. reporting a fire in the kitchen of a home on Silacci Drive, said a Santa Clara County Fire spokeswoman.
Upon arrival, the crew found that bacon cooking in the oven had caught on fire.

The flames were confined to the oven and the fire department cleared the home in five minutes. Damages were estimated at $30.
