Arsonists Set Grass Fire on Union Avenue

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.

Five Santa Clara County Fire Department trucks and engines were dispatched to a fire on Saturday.

The department got the call at about 1:48 p.m. and were sent to Union Avenue, where there was a brush or brush-and-grass-mixture fire going.

According to fire spokeswoman, the fire has been determined to be intentional; however, neither the heat source nor the first item ignited have been determined.

"It is still under investigation," she said.

 The incident was cleared by the fire crews at 3:58 p.m.
