Accused Child Molesting Nanny Faces Up to 195 Years in Prison

The 41-year-old Campbell nanny goes before the court to enter a plea on April 10.

Accused child molester John "Mr. Johnny" Walker is next scheduled to appear in court on April 10 at 9:30 a.m. in Santa Clara County Superior Court.

The 41-year-old nanny from Campbell was arrested March 8 and . He also appeared in court Tuesday but did not enter a plea.

Walker will be represented by a public defender, but does not have one assigned to him yet, said Santa Clara Deputy District Attorney Clarissa Hamilton.

Hamilton said the April 10 hearing will probably be continued, similar to this week's hearing, because the newly assigned public defender will need a chance to get familiar with the case.

The case came together when Campbell police received a tip from an alleged victim's parent earlier this month. Together with the San Jose Police Department Child Exploits Team, Campell police investigated and arrested Walker.

"It's every parents' worse nightmare," Hamilton said.

She confirmed there are eight alleged female victims, but a .

"It's still an ongoing investigation, " she said.

To date, there are 14 formal charges against Walker, including:

  • Eight counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14;
  • Two counts of oral copulation of a child under the age of 10;
  • One count of possession of child pornography.

"He's looking at 195 years to life for these charges," Hamilton said.

The Campbell Police Department is urging anyone with information or who has knowledge of other possible victims to contact the Campbell Police Department at 408-871-5190.

I am impressed with CalTrans ability to do the cleanup, but the problem of homelessness does not goRead More away. Until we find a way to help these people in need, the camps will just move to another location, and everything will start all over again. The homeless need help - whether they want it or not. It's time to get that ball rolling.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and myRead More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth. Thank you for sharing your story and memories! Very truly yours, Karen Hunt Great grandaughter of the owner of the Original Fabers Cyclery.
