Residential Development Density - Should It Be Raised To 50 Units Per Acre?

A developer is proposing a residential project ( combination of rental and home-ownership) on Railway Ave adjacent to Avalon.

The project proposes 50 units per acre on the 3+ acre site. The City zoning currently permits 27 units per acre. Under specific circumstances, a State-mandated 35% increase associated with below-market housing, the total may go to 36 units per acre.

This Tuesday, July 1 at 6:15 pm, there is a special City Council Study Session at City Hall to discuss the project and the proposed density increase.

There is a complete staff report and presentation available on the City web page  http://www.cityofcampbell.com/AgendaCenter/City-Council-10 .

Be sure to look at the Agenda for the Study Session on July 1, 2014.
