New Orleans Catering is Coming to Boogie on the Bayou

Campbell Patch is featuring a series of informational features on the upcoming Boogie on the Bayou May 19 and 20 by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.

New Orleans Catering is a true home-grown cajun food vendor.

The Brill Family relocated from New Orleans in the late 1980’s after owning and selling their restaurant in Louisiana called “The Catfish Shack.”  Once in California, they realized there was a need for genuine Cajun food at these "New Orleans-Themed Festivals" and “New Orleans Catering” was born.

More than 20 years later, the company is a family-owned and operated business that is booming with amazing menu choices such as their signature dish chicken/sausage jambalaya, seafood gumbo and crawfish etoufee.

So when you get to Boogie, stop by the New Orleans Catering food booth, say hi to Jeremy and get you some good 'ole Cajun food!

The Campbell Chamber of Commerce's 34th annual Boogie on the Bayou takes place May 19 and 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in downtown Campbell.

I am impressed with CalTrans ability to do the cleanup, but the problem of homelessness does not goRead More away. Until we find a way to help these people in need, the camps will just move to another location, and everything will start all over again. The homeless need help - whether they want it or not. It's time to get that ball rolling.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and myRead More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth. Thank you for sharing your story and memories! Very truly yours, Karen Hunt Great grandaughter of the owner of the Original Fabers Cyclery.
