I would like to commend Officer Gallagher of the Campbell Police Department for the excellent service I received from him and his dispatcher today.
The day started with an attempted assault against my person and vandalism of my car at a gas station while my blind, 6-year-old daughter and 2-year-old daughter sat strapped in their car seats. Campbell’s dispatcher took my call and insisted on sending an officer to my location, concerned I am sure for the safety of my little girls.
Officer Gallagher arrived within minutes. Unfortunately the subject had just driven off.
Officer Gallagher is an exemplary example of law enforcement at it’s finest.
He exhibited great patience listening to my explanation of events that led to my calling the Campbell Police. He offered his department’s support and had some good suggestions regarding handling similar situations in the future.
Unlike other officers I have had contact with in other cities, Officer Gallagher was patient, professional, community oriented, and his skill set was admirable.
Officer Gallagher provided excellent execution of his duties. He is an exemplary ambassador not only for the Campbell Police Department, but also for the city of Campbell and police departments everywhere.

Until we find a way to help these people in need, the camps will just move to another location, and everything will start all over again. The homeless need help - whether they want it or not. It's time to get that ball rolling.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and my…Read More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight.
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth.
