American Council of Engineering Companies California Elects New President

SACRAMENTO, CA – September 16, 2013 – The American Council of Engineering Companies, California (ACEC California) today announced Bill Wagner, of San Jose-based engineering firm HMH Engineers, has been elected 2013-2014 President of the organization.  Mr. Wagner’s term began July 1 and ends in June 2014.  

Mr. Wagner succeeds John Moossazadeh of Kleinfelder, Inc., whose term ended last month, as President of the Sacramento-based organization, which represents private sector consulting engineering and land surveying firms throughout the state.

Mr. Wagner is a licensed civil engineer (P.E.) in the state of California and has been a Principal with HMH Engineers, a privately-held civil engineering, land surveying and landscape architecture business, for 25 years.  He currently manages utility design and coordination for a  $700 million design-build contract on BART’s Fremont to San Jose extension. He also recently oversaw project development and preparation of two design packages for U.S. 101 Operational Improvements, reconfiguring the Tully Road and Capitol Avenue Interchanges and making other major highway upgrades in San Jose’s Evergreen area.

Mr. Wagner is a BSCE graduate of Santa Clara University.  He is very active in other professional organizations, having served on the Board of Directors and as President of the California and Nevada Civil Engineering and Land Surveyors Association, a surveying employer group. Wagner was also President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of American Public Works Association (APWA) and recently received an "Outstanding Service in the Private Sector" award from his local APWA Chapter
